Mom Blogger Live Tweets From White House
Today Kia Morgan Smith, Atlanta mom blogger at CincoMom.com and the owner of the non-profit Atlanta Diaper Relief, will live blog from the White House’s south lawn when President Obama welcomes British Prime Minister, David Cameron, and his wife to the nation’s capital. Eighty influencers were chosen after the White House put an open call out on Twitter and were personally invited by the White House to live tweet the occasion. Smith, who tweets at @kiamorgansmith, told the Douglas County Sentinel, “I will be tweeting from the time I get up. I’ll tweet what I’m wearing, my shoes, everything. It’s going to be the best experience. I will savor each and every moment.” https://twitter.com/#!/KiaMorganSmith/status/179877173316952065 https://twitter.com/#!/KiaMorganSmith/status/179894998014234624…
Walking to the White House
I have been to the White House twice in my life. The first time was when I was in middle school. Things were different then. It was fairly easy to arrange a brief tour of the White House for 3 kids. Today, not so much. The second time was yesterday afternoon on a beautiful sunny fall day in Washington, DC. ONE arranged a meeting with Dr. Jill Biden at the White House’s west wing and I can tell you that if you have never been to the White House just stepping inside will take your breath away.
