Like many others, I was a bit underwhelmed by the announcement of the iPhone 4S the other day. There is some happier news though. The latest operating system, iOS 5, has also been released and it is free. While I do not plan on upgrading my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 4S, I was quick to upgrade to iOS 5 and to start utilizing the latest features.
I have a little series going about high fashion and tech. I have created sets of iPad cases designed by Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Salvadore Farragamo, and today’s it’s all about iPad and iPad cases from Jimmy Choo.
If you’re like me you always thought it purely ridiculous that Facebook did not have an iPad app. Instead you had to use some developer’s knock-off until the day when Facebook finally stopped fighting Apple and just release the darn thing. After all it’s been ready for release for quite some time now. Even its lead developer quit Facebook for a job at Google in frustration about Facebook’s hesitancy to release it. Now, that’s no longer here nor there. Facebook’s iPad app is finally live!
It is terribly sad that Steve Jobs has passed, but it almost doesn’t feel like he’s gone because so many of his inventions are around us every day and in every way and not just in Apple products, but in competing products that had to use similar technology or go home.
I’m at it again with more couture iPad cases because, why not? People love their iPads so much that the fashion houses are meeting that global demand with cases and covers that reflect the stylish aesthetic of their high-end customers.
No matter where I am whether it’s San Diego for Blogher, New York City on business, or just walking around my hometown some stranger invariably gives me props on my Otterbox cases. I have a white one for my iPhone and a black one for my iPad.
Undoubtedly the camera is one of our favorite parts of our iPhones. I do not think a day passes that I do not use the camera at least once. While many of the pictures I use as is, there are some that just lend themselves to using various filter programs. Right now it seems Instagram is one of the favorite programs out there for creating an instantaneous nostalgic feel to our iPhone photographs.
If you are like me you have multiple computers and devices that you use regularly. I am always looking for ways to simplify sharing files across all of those devices. Dropbox is a service which allows you to keep files in sync between your desktop, laptop, smartphone, and internet. They call it a “magic pocket” because everything you need is with you all the time.
I am terrible with names, I always have been. At blogging events I use my iPhone to take pictures of the new people I am meeting, but sadly I forget many of their names. When I found Labelboxthe other day I was thrilled because now I can instantly label my photos and remember who those people are or what I am taking a picture of.
Need some professional help with your Apple product? There’s an app for that (shocking I know). This is not the App Store, it is the Apple Store app instead. This is a must have app, in my opinion, for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
I purchased an iPad 2 last week and I have been putting it through the ringer deciding whether it is worth keeping. My final decision? I’m keeping it! Why? The number one reason is the speed. According to Steve Jobs, the iPad 2 is up to 9 times faster than the original iPad. All I know is that the apps pop open instantly and I am rarely waiting when I’m using it.
Some of us are more creative than others with our blog posts. I find there are some apps that help me become more creative. I came across Comic Strip, available for both the iPhones and the iPad as one of those tools to help my creativity.
Today is the day the iPad 2 is available for purchase. Apple has, once again, created a product that will send many early adopters to ditch their iPad and stand in line for the iPad 2. With the release of the iPad 2, also comes the release of new iPad 2 accessories. I’ve searched the internet to find the coolest iPad 2 accessories.
You may have heard that the iPad 2 is available for purchase today. If you are planning to get one, no doubt one of the first things you will do is hit the app store.
Well, we knew rumors were swirling around the release of the iPad2 and even the iPad3. Just my luck that I was stuck in a traveling vaccuum all day and didn’t hear about it until I got home from the airport and fired up my desktop.
I’ll admit it: I’m a Twitterholic. I need to be able to send tweets while on the go. There are plenty of ways to do this, but one of my favorite tools is TweetDeck.
Good news from Mophie. The company has recently added an iPad folio case to its product line called the Mophie Workbook . It’s a sleek, faux-leather case that offers complete protection for the Apple iPad.
The majority of campaigns on which I work, I charge a flat fee. But there are a few that I bill based on time worked. So I need an easy way to keep track of the actual time I am putting into jobs to keep the billing process balanced and stay on target with my fees.
Smartphones have become as much a necessity as a wallet. So when your phone’s battery dies, you feel lost—like getting to the checkout and realizing you forgot your wallet. Mophie has a battery solution for the iPhone that is both lightweight and stylish.
Many bloggers travel frequently and already know the basic rules of what is and is not allowed at the airports and on planes these days. There are also many bloggers that do not travel all that often and they have questions about TSA rules when flying.

It’s a little laughable to talk about the iPad 3 when the iPad 2 hasn’t even been announced yet, but alas it is and is making waves in the tech community.
If your goal this year is to cut down the amount of business cards you receive at conferences, this app will seriously be your very best friend.
