It is nearly impossible to stay abreast of sales from your favorite lifestyle and beauty brands unless you click through all of your emails and read through the fliers they send in the mail. And even then, you’re bound to miss one or two sales. And, of course, you’ll miss the really big sale where you can actually afford to buy the dress you’ve been eying for four months. If you need a little organization in your life to save money from your favorite retailers you should definitely join Hipiti. It’s free, easy to use, and just makes sense. When I made my blogging and social media predictions for 2012 about mom bloggers and fashion I had no idea it would come true in such a huge way. Last Thursday I was one of several mom bloggers who walked in the StrutMoms fashion show, the very first fashion show for moms, at Lincoln Center during Fashion Week. Strut — The Fashionable Mom Show was put together by Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein of The Moms, Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney of Getting Gorgeous, Holly Pavlika, managing director of Big Fuel, a New York full-service marketing and communications company, and founder of Momentum and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, director of fashion at Lincoln Center. It was a fairly surreal experience…
Chanel unveiled their latest iPad case for their spring/summer pre-collection. Made with lambskin, the zippered iPad case also has two front pockets that can hold accessories such as your iPhone.
Last Friday Gilt wrote on its Little Inspirations blog that three well-known mom bloggers had been named ambassadors.
Typically when you think of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week held every year in New York City you don’t automatically think of moms, but a few mothers set out five months ago to change that.
I blogged about United Styles, the Shanghai-based start-up that comped a dress for me to design and try out. United Styles allows you to design your own clothes and yesterday I received my fit test dress.
Shanghai-based fashion start-up, United Styles, is offering women a chance to design their own clothes in the style and colors they choose.
It’s no surprise that forward thinking brands are turning to Pinterest for creative social media campaigns. In fact, yesterday news flurried around the Net that Pinterest is now the 10th largest social networking site with 31 million visitors per month according to CNET.
Yes, these iPad cases are fashion forward. They also cost a mint!
Today I am sharing with you the unboxing of Lenovo’s U300S Ideapad. I got a sneak peak of the Ideapad in September during Fashion Week and today my unit came in the mail.

Do you love your iPad? Well, so does Burberry. Check out their latest iPad cases.
I popped into South Moon Under and ran into Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop sleeves and iPad covers. I have mentioned Marc Jacobs iPad covers before, and while I do not have a relationship with the Marc Jacobs brand, I thought it would be cool to show how the products look in real life as opposed to on a e-store thumbnail.
This week I decided to check out what Coach has to offer for your tech items from your laptop, to tablet, to your smartphone. I like that Coach has democratized fashion. Its prices are way more affordable than say, the iPad cases I featured by Jimmy Choo or Salvadore Ferragamo.
I have a little series going about high fashion and tech. I have created sets of iPad cases designed by Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Salvadore Farragamo, and today’s it’s all about iPad and iPad cases from Jimmy Choo.
I’m at it again with more couture iPad cases because, why not? People love their iPads so much that the fashion houses are meeting that global demand with cases and covers that reflect the stylish aesthetic of their high-end customers.
As iPads become more ubiquitous fashion designers are also more inclined to put their aesthetic onto covers and cases that fit these beloved tablets. Last weekend, I put together Tory Burch’s iPad collection. Today, it’s all about Marc Jacobs.
I happen to have a very utilitarian iPad case because, well, I drop things a lot and I love my iPad 2 far more than fashion. But, and this is a big but, if you love fashionable iPad cases and you’re not prone to dropping and cracking your prized technology be sure to check out Tory Burch’s iPad case collection.

Last night HP was on hand to capture Marchesa’s 2012 spring collection in HP Live 3-D at the Plaza Hotel. The 3-D images were presented later last evening to special guests, including Emma Roberts and Rachel Zoe. HP also collaborated on a piece of “tech art” with Marchesa and Swarovski that was exhibited at the evening event. While the blinged out version will not be on sell for consumers, it does serve as a protype for an upcoming high-end HP laptop. I had such a fantastic time visiting Leggiadro last Thursday, my first day in New York for fashion week. I learned so much about luxury garments, Italian fabric makers, why luxury products costs so much (you get what you pay for!), and how clothes go from warehouse sewing machines to the boutique floor. I was given a tour of Leggiadro’s warehouse in the garment district and then had the great opportunity to visit their Madison Avenue boutique as well. I loved learning and seeing first hand that all of Leggiadro’s clothes are made in the United States by hand with amazing European fabrics. You wouldn’t believe the skill and dedication that goes into each limited…
For those of you who are huge fans of Project Runway you know HP and Intel are major partners of the longtime fashion reality show. For Fashion Week in New York City HP and Intel partnered to throw an unforgettable reunion party for designers who consider Project Runway their claim to fame.
Last night was my first experience of Fashion Night Out. Fashion lovers with the most sought-after shoes, handbags and hairstyles were out in force all across Manhattan. When I went out around 6:30 I had high hopes of hitting tons of stores, but I quickly learned I didn’t have the stamina nor the desire to stand in lines that extended blocks long. I need to work on that next year for sure.
For the rest of the week I will be attending events during Fashion Week. Most of them deal with fashion and technology. In fact, tonight I am going to the Lenovo Lounge at Saks Ffth Avenue for Fashion Night Out where they will be introducing their brand-new sleek, slick, and fashion-forward IdeaPad U300s. It should be a great time.
