We are proud to work with Get Uncommom, a company that customizes cases for Apple mobile devices, on a creative Mother’s Day campaign. 50 Mom Bloggers Club members had their kids draw a unique work of art that was then turned into a creative case for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod. You can see a few of the adorable cases below. We love how they are turning out! And, you can visit our ever-growing Pinterest board to see more case photos. I learned quite a bit on my recent press trip to Seattle with Microsoft. If you have been reading for a few years you know that I am a Windows Champion and write about Microsoft products and services from time to time. Last week I learned a ton about Windows 8 and Office 365. Admittedly, I was reluctant to even give Windows 8 a chance because the changes seemed too daunting. Now that I have had a deep dive with the Microsoft team I am excited to use and learn more about what Windows has to offer. Today I want to ease your fears that if you use a Windows phone you won’t be able…
It is nearly impossible to stay abreast of sales from your favorite lifestyle and beauty brands unless you click through all of your emails and read through the fliers they send in the mail. If you need a little organization in your life to save money from your favorite retailers you should definitely join Hipiti. It’s free, easy to use, and just makes sense. I have been to four countries in less than a year and regardless of where I am and on which continent I have traveled to the best way for me to communicate with my husband and daughters is through a wifi connection and Skype!
On Saturday, June 2 a select group of bloggers and their families was invited by HP and Disney Alliances to experience Disneyland’s Innoventions Dream Home. The Innoventions Dream Home is a 5000 square-foot technology extravaganza sponsored by HP, Microsoft, and home builder Taylor Morrison. I get many perks being a Windows Champion. It’s been fun using Windows technology in laptops, in Microsoft’s Windows phones, and now in a desktop.
I, along with other Champions, were given the ASUS ET2700, an all-in-one monitor and desktop, to review and I can honestly say it is the best desktop I have ever used. I am so sad that my review unit has to go back!
In celebration of the largest summer sale Expedia has ever embarked upon, they have launched Kids in the City, a blogger-curated guide to some of the most visited cities for summer travel.
I love getting fun information from the Microsoft team. As a Windows Champion I am more than happy to share it. This travel infographic is right up my alley as I am always traveling somewhere it seems.
I decided to crowdsource for some of the best women designers out there who provide blog migration and design services for bloggers. Please make sure to give these talented women your business if your blog needs a touch up.
I just read about the “Girls Around Me” app where it grabs your public Foursquare check-in data and then links your data to your Facebook page. Scary stuff!
When the iPhone 5 hit the market everyone raved about Siri (Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface), Apple’s voice recognition software. Now there is a voice recognition app everyone can use. Called Evi, the app is free on Android devices and costs $.99 in the iTunes store. Evi is available for phones, iPads, and tablets.
I often wax nostalgic about what I was doing a year ago today by simply checking my email. I mentioned in January that TimeHop had recently launched a service where you can receive daily email updates with your social media activity from one year ago today.
Tech, mom, and photo bloggers are in Arizona on a media junket this week courtesy of Sony. Using the hashtag #sedonasony, bloggers are learning tips and tricks about Sony’s cameras including the NEX-7 and NEX C-3 as well as getting a hands-on look at the Sony Tablet S and e-readers.
In my experience the mom blogging community has been very fair as far as attribution goes. Moms are heavy linkers! But that is not always the case in every blogging niche. And even with best intentions we can sometimes forget to properly attribute the source of information we have read, heard about, saw on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and the list goes on and on.
What happens at South By Southwest reaches those in Austin and simultaneouly spreads like lighting around the world,
It’s South By Southwest time and you know what that means: major tech announcements. Instagram, self described as “fast, beautiful photo sharing for your iPhone”, announced that it has garnered 27 million users nearly doubling its userbase from 15 million last reported in December.
Today, according to Mashable, Facebook filed a preliminary prospectus for its initial public offering. They are looking to raise $5 billion dollars.
Chanel unveiled their latest iPad case for their spring/summer pre-collection. Made with lambskin, the zippered iPad case also has two front pockets that can hold accessories such as your iPhone.
I, like most Americans, am stuck in a horrible digital bind. Over the years I have grown to rely on Google services so much that I cannot imagine a day not using one of them. I use Gmail, and Google docs, Google calendar, and Google search on a daily basis. If I ditched those services I would be lost. That said, Google announced on its blog yesterday that they are updating their privacy settings (effective March 1) to combine your data from all of the Google services you use. Google says it will mean a “simpler, more intuitive Google experience.” The Washington Post, however, says, “In a nutshell, Google is taking information from almost all…
Now that social media has completely pervaded our lives where we can tweet or post hundreds of status updates a week we have problems remembering we what did last week let alone a year ago. That is why companies like Memolane and Facebook have created timelines so we can easily go back and see what we were doing years ago.
I blogged about United Styles, the Shanghai-based start-up that comped a dress for me to design and try out. United Styles allows you to design your own clothes and yesterday I received my fit test dress.
Philadelphia blogger Brandi J from Mama Knows It All uploaded Sh*t Mom Bloggers Say yesterday and it instantly became a hit in the mom blogosphere and beyond.
