Facebook’s Current Security Breach

I do not go to Facebook to see pornography and mutilated animals. If you haven’t seen the photos count yourself lucky. The photos I have seen are very disturbing. According to the Washington Post, this security breach is the most widespread security issue Facebook has faced. AllFacebook.com reports that Facebook knows there is a threat and they are doing something about it. Google+ and Your Personal Privacy

There has been a lot of apprehension about using Google+ even though the social networking service is 25 million users strong after two short months. I even have reservations about getting too wrapped up in the service as I use enough Google products as it is – Gmail, Google search, Google calendar, YouTube, Google Maps, Google docs, Chrome, and Google reader. You’ve been there. You’ve been tagged in a photo that you look horrible in. Yesterday Facebook announced that you can now accept or reject tags on photos. This new improvement will sit quite well with those who are trying to manage how their profile looks to others.

I am proud to say that I am considered an early adopter of Twiter. I have been a user since 2007. Four years ago I saw that Twitter was going to be useful even though I didn’t know for sure how. I just knew I needed to be on Twitter and it has served me well over the years.
