Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) will host an invitation-only Washington, DC blogger retreat for the top Latina bloggers in the country. Hosted next week, May 20 – 22, bloggers will be treated to a two-day “Mini MBA” where sessions will range from blog and business best practices, leadership skills, and social good. The bloggers will also receive an exclusive briefing at the White House about Latinos and education, health and jobs.

Sponsors and partners for Bloguera Retreat include Johnson & Johnson, Procter and Gamble, Mary Kay, Southwest Airlines, Univision, Comcast, McDonald’s, Fleishman Hillard, Babble.com, Macys, Porter Novelli, and Consumer Reports. The event was organized in partnership with Latina Bloggers Connect.

To be chosen to attend Bloguera Retreat hopefuls had to apply. A selection committee including leaders from Latina Bloggers Connect, Las Blogueras, Blogs de Mamas and New Latina helped choose winners based on social media influence and content.
