Big Media Mom Site Launching Soon

If there is one thing I absolutely love doing it’s watching the online mom space evolve. There are a ton of traditional parenting sites (think Parents.com and Parenting.com) and now there are sites created specifically to capture mom’s attention with more articles that speak to her – not just typical parenting fare. Most of these sites are brimming with talent from influential mom bloggers. Sites that automatically spring to mind are BabyCenter, Babble, and The Stir.

BermanBraun, the independent media company behind popular sites Glo and Wonderwall.com is in the process of pitching a site specifically for the mom set to big media sites, according to AdWeek. Given BermanBraun’s creatively designed web sites (Glo’s feature image literally looks like a glossy), its editorial slant and design aesthetic I can really envision it being akin to Condé Nast’s shuttered Cookie magazine.

It will certainly be interesting to see what they create and the big media site they align with. Whatever the case I hope it’s editorial that I read. After all, I just read mom blogs anyway.
