Bloggers Land Parenting Book Deal
Christine Koh, founder of BostonMamas.com and Asha Dornfest, founder of ParentHacks.com, announced today that they have signed with an agent and will be co-authoring a book about minimalist parenting. Tentatively titled Minimalist Parenting: Enjoy Modern Family Life More By Doing Less, the book will be published by Boston publishing house, Bibliomotion.
“We are viewing it as a “MacGyver’s guide for modern parents” — including advice to help overwhelmed and guilt-ridden parents shed the pressure to constantly “do” and instead make more mindful choices for their family time and resources,” wrote Koh in a blog post today.
“If you’ve read Parent Hacks for a while, you’ll know the irony of writing a parenting book isn’t lost on me”, wrote Dornfest in her book announcement post today. “I started Parent Hacks over six years ago as an alternative to the “expert” parenting books that left me feeling so unsure of myself as a new mother. This book is so very exciting because it’s all about how to find your own parenting ‘right’.”
Koh’s and Dornfest’s book will be hit shelves in 2013.

So excited for this book from two of the sharpest women in the momosphere.
Thank you so much for sharing Jennifer!
JENNIFER! Thank you so much for this. As Christine says: we’re beyond excited. By happy chance, we’re together at Blissdom in Nashville, TN right now, and getting to share this news and hear the encouragement and enthusiasm here and on Twitter/ FB has been amazing.
That is so wonderful. I can’t wait to read it!
