United Styles Combines Tech, Fashion
Shanghai-based fashion start-up, United Styles, is offering women a chance to design their own clothes in the style and colors they choose.
I was recently contacted by their blogger outreach coordinator to try out their service and thought it would be fun to share here on Mom Blog magazine especially since they connect technology with fashion.
It’s quite easy to create your piece. To the right is the tunic I created in about five minutes. I chose the style, sleeves, trim, and pattern. In a few weeks I will receive my unique piece from United Styles.
One of the things I immediately liked about United Styles is they have included a green element to their fashion lines by using digital printing technology. According to United Styles this prevents waste and unnecessary pollution because only the amount of fabric that is actually needed to make your garment is being printed. Then experienced United Styles tailors finally stitch the unique design that is impossible to find in mass-produced fashion.
I like that the price point is very affordable. No piece is over $99.95.
As soon as I receive my piece I will share it here. When you create your piece you can also share it with your friends on Twitter and Facebook.
I had a pleasant and seamless experience using United Styles. It would be fun if they could also use this technology for handbags.

Hey Jen, love this idea. How was quality and fit? Sizes true to size?
Hi Anita – Yes, it was true to size. You just have to make sure you know your measurements precisely.
That sounds really cool!
It really is. I had a great time designing my own fashion.
