The Ultimate Social Good Gift Guide

Woman Sewing at Amani Ya Juu | Kenya | July 2011
This holiday season is unlike any I’ve experienced. This is the first year I am recommending and buying products that tremendously benefit others, especially women who are in poverty situations and who are using their hands, ingenuity, and creativity to better their lives through fair trade.
In this, what I call the Ultimate Social Good Gift Guide, I recommend products from ONE (Twitter | Facebook), as well as Amani Ya Juu (Twitter | Facebook) and the Leakey Collection (Twitter | Facebook) who I and the other ONE Moms visited while in Kenya.
I have also included products from (Red) (Twitter | Facebook) whose purchase goes to funding the Global Fund to help eliminate HIV/AIDS. You’ll also find products from GlobalGirlfriend.com (Twitter | Facebook) and Comfort the Children International (Twitter | Facebook). There’s also a free holiday download from the David Crowder Band.
Be sure to visit Macy’s Heart of Haiti (Twitter | Facebook) program where over half of the wholesale price of sold artisan’s wares go back to the artists. I am honored that I will also be able to visit the artists in Haiti next month.
Happy Shopping and Happy Holidays!
