Quotes From Notables: Danimezza

What do you think has been your key to success?

For me success isn’t a final destination, it’s the peak points along a continuous journey and I’m happy to say I’ve had a lot of them during my blogging career and hopefully more in my future. I’ve been blogging since 2006, originally to a huge audience consisting of my best friends and my Mum who all lived far away, I thought blogging was brilliant even back then. Now social media, content creation and networking has become my full time job and I feel immeasurably proud that I created this job, out of passion, for myself.

After five years of personal blogging with no monetary gain whatsoever, last year I made the decision to turn my blog into a profitable business, engage in more events and social networking, have advertisers and start writing articles and sponsored posts. I figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Doing so I’ve regained my confidence, made new friends, made a bit of money and travelled more than I ever have in my lifetime. It’s also reignited my love of fashion, beauty and sharing my body confidence values, a direction I never dreamed possible.

Through my blog I’ve discovered myself, I’ve grown with it and along with those that read it. I’ve laid my soul bare, confessed my fears and celebrated my triumphs. The key to my blog’s success was allowing myself to be unapologetically me and sharing in the same manner. I didn’t start my blog with a dream of making millions, turning it into a book or pimping out products… I started it to share.
