Keeping Time on the iPhone

Clock is not fancy, but Clock does his job. How many of you forgo wearing a watch these days because you have your iPhone with you at all times and you know just pressing the button brings up the time? Even when we had to spring forward last week Clock was on the ball and adjusted for you.

Are you working with bloggers across the country, or the world for that matter? There is a world clock built in. You type in the city and it will find the right time. No need to learn Zulu time to figure out how many hours ahead or behind they are. I work primarily in the four main time zones across the USA so those are the clocks I have set.World Clocks

The built-in alarm clock I find really helpful as a busy working mom. I can set my alarm to wake me up in the morning, and then another alarm set for a conference call at 10:00 am and a much needed alarm if I need to pick my son up from school in the afternoon because time flies by some days.  With each alarm I can have it repeat as often as needed, select different sounds, and label alarms anything you like.

If you are working on a project on an hourly rate you need to keep track of your time. An easy way is to use the Stopwatch. Just hit start and when you are done hit stop. Record, or even take a screen shot, of the completed time to add to your invoice.

Finally the timer helps me and my son stay on track with tasks. I use it when I walk for exercise to make sure I get enough in. With my son timing helps him with things like homework by setting specific time goals.Timer

That is a lot of functionality built into one simple little app that is included with your iPhone from the start. No download necessary.

Robyn Wright

Robyn Wright (@RobynsWorld) is a mom always connected. One of the most common phrases friends hear from her, “there’s an app for that” and then she proceeds to pull out her own mobile appliances and show them! Now she has drawn Hubby and Taylor (son age 16) into the mix and the whole family shares apps and mobile tips with each other. Robyn also blogs at www.RobynsOnlineWorld.com where she shares the real Robyn, just in an online version. If it happens offline, you can bet Robyn will share it online.
