Is the iPad 3 Slated for a Fall Release? Those In the Know Say Yes

Yesterday night AOL’s TechCrunch broke Apple iPad news when they posted this article: Yes, Apple Is Lining Up For A “Surprise” This Fall. And Yes, It’s Likely An “iPad 3″. The article traveled quickly in tech circles and basically boiled down to Apple positioning themselves to continue to be leaders in the tablet wars, if in fact the assumptions written by the TechCrunch writer hold.

Yesterday HP released promising news about their TouchPad and it has some people proclaiming that it could indeed be an “iPad killer”.

What does this all mean for mom bloggers?

When everything shakes out, it will mean we have greater tablet options. I have yet to buy an iPad because I am becoming increasingly annoyed that Apple shuns flash. Don’t they know flash is beautiful and makes beautiful sites? I would love to be able to use a amazing tablet that has all the cool features of an iPad and also supports flash.

I suppose Apple’s strategy involves the production’s time of Ipad 3 after the firsts months of 2012.

  2. The Techcrunch article is all built upon assumptions. Two iPads coming out in one year is a little ridiculous, but who knows what they’ll be willing to do especially with other tech companies breathing down their back.

I’ve been holding off on buying an iPad as well, welling for the 2.0 to be released. I wonder what could possibly make such a big difference between the 2 and 3 to have them both released during the same year?
